Overview

A Choke Valve is an important part of Wellhead Christmas Tree and Choke Manifold. It is usually used in well control operations to reduce the pressure of a fluid from high pressure in the closed wellbore to atmospheric pressure. It may be adjusted (opened or closed) to closely control the pressure drop. Adjustable Choke Valves are constructed to resist wear while high-velocity, solids-laden fluids are flowing by the restricting or sealing elements.

Choke Valves are available in various configurations for both fixed and adjustable modes of operation. Adjustable choke valves enable the fluid flow and pressure parameters to be changed to suit process or production requirements. In contrast, fixed choke valves don't provide this flexibility, although they are more resistant to erosion under prolonged operation or production of abrasive fluids. Choke valves can be manually or hydraulically operated.

As a redesign and upgrade of Cameron H2 series adjustable choke valve, our adjustable choke valves are fully designed, produced, and tested as per API 6A, API 16C, and NACE-MR0175 standards. Available in bore sizes from 1-13/16" to 7-1/16" and rated working pressure up to 15000PSI.
